CNN Student News 5-9-12

In today's student news they introduced a car that can essentially drive by itself. It showed a blind man riding in the driver's seat of a self-operating vehicle that drove him from his house to a Taco Bell and back home without any incident. I think that as cool as this new technology seems, the potential risks and dangers outweigh the potential good things that can come from utilizing new technology like this.

CNN Student News 5-7-12

In today's student news they talked about the need for alternative energy sources. Nuclear energy in Japan is being reinstituted and the people there are protesting against it. I think that we should continue to look elsewhere for clean energy, but also continue to research nuclear energy because it is not very safe right now, or at least as safe as it should be.

CNN Student News 5-4-12

In today's student news they talked about letters that were discovered in a raid of Bin Laden's house. They went into detail about how he was losing control of Al-Qaeda and revealed different tactics that he used in his controlling the Al-Qaeda. These letters were just released to the public, and I think that by showing the general public information about how dangerous of a man he was, it helps the governments' war cause.
