Lincoln Douglas- Lesson 1

1. Negative
2. Other political systems besides a democratic, have worked before in the past. We as a country are not obligated to promote a democratic system, because other countries are free to do as they please.
3. Various different political systems have been proven to work in the past. Many different countries are free to do as the please politically and as a country we are not morally obligated to promote a system that has worked for us.
4. Empirical
5. Saying that we are obligated to promote our morals on the other political institutions of the world is wrong, because the majority of one country could say they believe one thing, while another could say that they believe something totally different. Promoting a system that is proven to work is not a bad thought, but doing it off of morals is very wrong.
