Lincoln Douglas- Lesson 2

Resolution: States ought not possess nuclear weapons.
1. a. States: an individual state that shares sovereignty with the federal government.
    b. possess: have distinct possession of as ownership
    c. nuclear weapons: an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions
2. Absolute, because I believe that this resolution is just.

4. States, nuclear weapons possibly not being able to be in possession of a state.
5. Affirm- By affirming this resolution, the world would become a safer place. This would limit only the federal government to being able to be in possession of nuclear weapons.
    Negate- By negating the resolution, states would then be able to have in their possession, nuclear weapons. This would become a huge health hazard, and affect the unity of the United States as a nation.
